Shree Porbandar District Co-Operative Milk Producers’ Union Limited (PDCMPUL) is  also better known as “Sudama Dairy” was established on 22nd March 2014 with active procurement of only aprx 1500 Liter of milk per day.

Shree Porbandar District Co-Operative Milk Producers’ Union Limited (PDCMPUL) is a Co-Operative Society registered under Section 9 of Gujarat Cooperative Societies Act, 1961.

Shree Porbandar District Co-Operative Milk Producers’ Union Limited (PDCMPUL) is a member union of the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) Ltd, better known as AMUL (Anand Milk Union Ltd); With 15+ Bulk Milk Cooling Units (BMCU).

AMUL is a vibrant organization that serves consumers not only of Porbandar but also rural areas of Porbandar. Apart from other districts of Gujarat, its consumer is spread in other states of India as well that is backed by the products of global standards under AMUL brand.

In addition to the market status, PDCMPUL is committed to long term sustainable growth and shareholder satisfaction. The organization insists on honesty, integrity and fairness in all aspects of its business and expects the same in its relationships. 

Geographical Coverage

The organization is wide spread. The milk is procured from the primary milk collecting societies which in turn collects milk from small / marginal / landless producers / farmers from various Talukas and is sent to their nearest chilling centers. PDCMPUL has 12+ chilling units at Porbandar,  Khambhodar, Pata, Bhatia, Sindhpur, Veraval, Khageshri, Varvada, Kutiyana, Dolasa, Jam Khambhaliya, Talala, Simar etc.

Accordingly it covers the large geographical area which includes such Talukas & surrounding villages of such BMC units.

Presently the organization is having about 1000+ primary milk collecting societies which are supplying from all such geographical areas.

Future plans are proposed for the expansion of the existing units and setting up of Processing plant thereby increasing the milk procurement, processing capacity and to diversify the product range that can be produced from Milk.

Our Vision

Shree Porbandar District Co-Operative Milk Producers’ Union ‘s VISION is to provide fair price of milk produced by the farmers via primary milk societies and to establish sustainability to farmers in their social needs on economic growth, health, education , awareness, rural hygiene, betterment of their animals (cow and buffalos), women development , etc. Above all, it is our self independence through their Co-operative Milk Society. This is the vision for milk producers & farmers of the villages.

In consumer front, Porbandar Milk Union’s vision is to fulfill the demand of consumers with range of milk and milk products that are nutritious, have exceptional taste & sustainable nature, cost effectiveness and quick availability. We envision these with good networking facilities both in urban & rural markets.

Our Mission

To make the above vision work from top to bottom with utmost efficiency, it is absolutely mandatory to work dedicatedly without considering the number of working hours and time spent in villages/ plant/ market. Continuous and strategic planning; discussion and implementation of different programs; robust evaluation methods to measure the success and reframe lines of action are a must in making envisioned thoughts turn in to a reality.

Our Achievement

The organization has commenced its business in full fledge from the F.Y. 2014-15 onwards. In the very first year of business, SPDCMPUL has achieved the turnover of near about Rs.100 crores. The same is reached to Rs.800.00 crores aprx. till FY-2017-18.

Number of societies dealing with PDCMPUL in F.Y. 2014-15 was 198 and same has been increased to 460 in the F.Y. 2015-16 and further increased to 800+ till FY-2017-18.
